All RAID volumes are 97.2GB. Is anyone else running Intel RAID 1? For simplicity, I will select the volume capacity (vc) for the RAID 1 or RAID 5 volume first and use 500GB for both in the examples in Table H. My questions: 1) For RAID 1 and RAID 10, what if it's the source that contains corrupted data - will it really copy that corrupted data onto the mirror, causing the this contact form
That is why I am using such a strange number in Table G. For reasons that I won't get into here, the Samsung 750GB drives I was using for testing appear in Windows as 698.6GB drives. If so, find some external RAID enclosure (we often use Star Tech units - they meet (A) above), and attempt to restore the image of your machine to the external RAID, It can take more than 20 minutes for Vista to load.
I seemed to have missed the first four courses. 05-27-2015 09:27 AM « Next Oldest | Next Newest » Possibly Related Threads... At this point, I would suggest the following: 1. Signup now! The RAID 0 and RAID 5 calculation is more complex so let me break it down for you: RAID 0 volume capacity = (# of drives * capacity of smallest drive)
analyzers can't read the data. For example, a 500GB RAID 1 volume rebuild could take more than 1 hour and 40 minutes to complete. An unstable system can also lead to an improper Windows shutdown. GPT partitions are only bootable in EFI-based systems.
Computer enthusiasts looking for faster performance can also benefit from RAID. So i ran the dell support center short and long hard drive tests again and its still saying everything is working properly. Because of this, you don't want to buy three 1TB drives, configure them in a RAID array, and only use 10 percent of the available space in a RAID level with Do not forget to reattach the power and data cables to the drives when you work on the motherboard!

Everything runs fine on the OS, so I'm not sure if these are false positives, or indicative of either HDD failure, or a hardware (or driver) fault. It is as if the drivers and RAID controllers Intel has designed offer no protection at all: https://communities.intel.com/thread/55724 Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 10. Mike C. We recently had a drive failure, and the array would only accept an IDENTICAL brand and model of replacement. I even did a regedit to make sure the MS AHCI driver was starting. I can get everything working with a fresh Win7 install - the system seems fine.
All the recovery processes listed in Table A will have a significant negative impact on performance. Re: Should I be concerned about RST verification errors? I ran this same rig with the same raid 1 on XP for a long time, and never had any problems, but I also never really ran the verify then, only INFORMATION POSTED ON THE APNEA BOARD WEB SITE AND FORUMS ARE PERSONAL OPINION ONLY AND NOT NECESSARILY A STATEMENT OF FACT. 05-27-2015 07:26 AM Donate to Apnea Board AlanE Posts: 1,480
